Bio

The music of Erik Mason is, simply put, sweet relief for the tireless mind of an overthinker.
Erik’s handcrafted works crystallize some of the soul’s most enigmatic thoughts and emotions, and he serves up his remedies on a palette of unforgettable melodies and expansive, piano-infused arrangements. A native New Jerseyan with artistic roots in Asbury Park, his distinctive musical style draws inspiration from other singer-pianists like Billy Joel, of course, but also from decade-spanning rock and pop flavors as diverse as his Spotify library. Yet as a songwriter, he is more deliberately influenced by a smaller circle, notably Jackson Browne, Chris Martin and Phil Collins. Bleeding-heart romantics raised on their parents’ CD collection are among those who may find the greatest bliss and release in experiencing his artistry, particularly his 2021 debut LP, "The Tide."
